       Dear (Contact First Name),

We continue to wait for the go-ahead date for Master Haikong's visit to Canada! #

As the situation continues with ongoing earthquake aftershocks and quakes, we wait patiently for dates to be set.

As most of you know, the situation in Sichuan, China is still quite volatile with continuing aftershocks and uncertainty. Master Haikong is eager to come and visit his students, but is waiting for the opportune time to make the journey once he feels stability is returned.

These past few months our meditation community continues to participate in supporting the efforts of our Fundraising campaign, to bring him over here, and we thank each and everyone of you who to date has helped out. It's not too late to participate if you still want to become involved.

Wen's retreat experience
lotus blossom of pureness and lightMeditation Retreats are not holidays, they are not expected to be a place to run away to, or a place for beaches, sunshine and hot stone massages. Instead Meditation retreats allow us to discover the peace and true potential of our own mind.

It's an opportunity to look deep within our mind, enhance our awareness and build on our practice strength. The value one receives through this experience can be life changing but only if you commit yourself to the experience. I invite you to hear my own experience of this past retreat.

Our next retreat will be held in November. Think about attending and give yourself permission to go beyond!

Article: The Four Seals of Dharma

All compounded things are impermanent. All emotions are painful. All phenomena are empty; they are without inherent existence. Nirvana is beyond extremes.
Without these four seals, the Buddhist path would become theistic, religious dogma, and its whole purpose would be lost. When you have a clear understanding of these four seals as the ground of your practice, you will feel comfortable no matter what happens to you. As long as you have these four as your view, nothing can go wrong. Whoever holds these four, in their heart, or in their head, and contemplates them, is a Buddhist.
